If you are planning to visit Zion National Park, lodging at Comfort Inn St. George will put you in “civilization” 45 minutes away, close to major restaurants, a movie theater, a family fun center, the Dixie Convention Center and the St. George Municipal Airport. One of Utah’s most popular tourist destinations, Zion National Park is a showcase of millions of years of erosion. Its deep chasms, narrow gorges, and gargantuan sandstone formations are sure to elicit oos and ahs from first-time visitors. Zion Canyon, the park’s most-visited section, is home to the largest concentration of scenic wonders in the park, including rock monoliths, hanging gardens, pools and waterfalls. Short, easy hiking trails such as Weeping Rock, Lower Emerald Pools and the Gateway to the Narrows, offer closer views of some of the canyon’s varying scenery. For panoramic viewpoints, however, visitors must hike longer, strenuous trails, including Angels Landing and Observation Point. After a long day on the trail, return to your lodging base camp at Comfort Inn for a dip in our heated pool or a soak in one of our hot tubs.
